Controller:
A Controller
is the head of the accounting and finance department of the
company. Candidate should have a degree in accounting and
have at least five years experience. Being an advance user
of Microsoft office products is a must as well as an excellent
communicator and organizer. Must be able to delegate workloads
to others.
A Controller duties may include:
Oversees and manages
all accounting functions including general ledger, accounts
receivable, accounts payable, and payroll.
Oversees and manage accounting system, policies and procedures.
Make journal entries.
Maintain, reconcile and administer all general ledger accounts,
including but not limited to accounts receivable, inventory
and accounts payable.
Coordinate and ensure accuracy and timeliness of internal
and external financial reporting.
Prepare monthly workers comp and sales tax reports.
Prepare quarterly and annual payroll reports.
Review fixed asset ledgers and ensure all items are properly
capitalized and depreciated.
Prepare budgets and forecasts; participate in business planning
and analyses.
Review bank reconciliations.
Assure accurate and timely monthly/yearly closings; prepare
monthly financial statements.
Maintain positive cash flow through accounts receivable collection
efforts and establish vendor payment priorities.
Oversee and review insurance coverage.
Provide owner(s) with financial reports.
Assist with human resource issues.
