Credit & Collections

Must possess excellent phone and customer service skills combined with tenacity and tact while
dealing with customers. Degree not normally required, but preferred in some companies.


Coordinates and executes activities of conducting credit investigations and analysis and collecting
delinquent accounts of customers.
  


Investigates and verifies financial status and reputation of prospective customers applying for credit,
preparing of documents to substantiate findings and recommending rejecting or approval of applications.

Recommends credit imitations on customer accounts. Reviews limits to ascertain an appropriate level
risk based on payment history, sales volume and financial/credit data.

Perform daily collection activity on past due customer accounts using aging data to enforce established
customer credit terms and limits according to company guidelines. Investigation of possible legal action
and collection of worthless checks and delinquent bills.

Reviews
accounts in jeopardy and inform Credit Manager or Controller to discuss further action. 

Compiles and analyses statistical data on customer payments and collection efforts.


Timely and successful completion of all past due accounts, make payment arrangements to bring account to a current status.


Maintains good customer relations and delivers a high level of courteous service on questions from
customers, sales reps and other internal/external sources.


Responsible for successfully controlling customer accounts so as to place past due accounts on hold
according to guidelines while collecting amounts due. Immediately informs sales reps as to accounts “on hold”

and works with sales reps to collect accounts.
