Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Generally, the CFO is responsible for the financial and
accounting makeup of the company. It
is a very complicated position that can vary in duties and
even titles.
The CFO is responsible for the presenting and reporting accurate
and timely historical financial
information of the company to the board of directors and others.
He/She is responsible for the
company's present financial condition and must decide how
to invest, spend and manage the
company's money.
All accounting and financial managers report to the CFO with
the best current information for
timely assimilation, analysis and reporting.
These positions require a very high degree of performance,
experience, education and accountability.
They are usually not an eight to five position. However, for
the motivated candidate it can be an
excellent career move.
